Our Lord Jesus; that great shepherd of the sheep。 The chief Shepherd。 — I am the good shepherd; and know my sheep; and am known of mine。 My sheep hear my voice; and I know them; and they follow me: and I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish; neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand。 The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want。 He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters。 He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake。 All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the LORD hath laid on him the iniquity us all。 — I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep。 — I will seek that which was lost; and bring again that which was driven away; and will bind up that which was broken; and will strengthen that which was sick。 — Ye were as sheep going astray; but are now returned unto the Shepherd and Bishop of your souls。 HEB。 13:20。 I Pet。 5:4。 …John 10:14;27; 28。 Psa。 23:1…3。 Isa。 53:6。 …John 10:11。 …Ezek。 34:16。 …I Pet。 2:25。

The city had no need of the sun; neither of the moon; to shine in it: for the glory of God did lighten it; and the Lamb is the light thereof。 I saw in the way a light from heaven; above the brightness of the sun; shining round about me。 And I said; Who art thou; Lord? And he said; I am Jesus whom thou persecutest。 — Jesus taketh Peter; James; and John his brother; and bringeth them up into an high mountain apart; and was transfigured before them: and his face did shine as the sun; and his raiment was white as the light。 — The sun shall be no more thy light by day; neither for brightness shall the moon give light unto thee: but the LORD shall be unto thee an everlasting light; and thy God thy glory。 Thy sun shall no more go down; neither shall thy moon withdraw itself: for the LORD shall be thine ever…lasting light; and the days of thy mourning shall be ended。 The God of all grace; 。。。 hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus。 REV。 21:23。 Acts 26:13;15。 …Matt。 17:1;2。 …Isa。 60:19;20。 I Pet。 5:10。

The Lord is good; a strong hold in the day of trouble; and he knoweth them that trust in him。 Praise the LORD of hosts: for the Lord is good; for his mercy endureth for ever。 — God is our refuge and strength; a very present help in trouble。 — I will say of the LORD; He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust。 — Who is like unto thee; O people saved by the LORD; the shield of thy help; and who is the sword of thy excellency! — As for God; his way is perfect; the word of the LORD is tried: he is a buckler to all them that trust in him。 For who is God; save the LORD? and who is a rock; save our God? If any man love God; the same is known of him。 — The foundation of God standeth sure; having this seal; The Lord knoweth them that are his。 And; Let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity。 — The LORD knoweth the way of the righteous: but the way of the ungodly shall perish。 — Thou hast found grace in my sight; and I know thee by name。 NAH。 1:7。 Jer。 33:11。 …Psa。 46:1。 …Psa。 91:2。 …Deut。 33:29。 …II Sam。 22:31;32。 I Cor。 8:3。 …II Tim。 2:19。 …Psa。 1:6。 …Exo。 33:17。

I would have you without carefulness。 He careth for you。 — The eyes of the LORD run to and fro throughout the whole earth; to shew himself strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward him。 O taste and see that the LORD is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him。 The young lions do lack; and suffer hunger: but they that seek the LORD shall not want any good thing。 — Therefore I say unto you; Take no thought for your life; what ye shall eat; or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body; what ye shall put on。 Is not the life more than meat; and the body than raiment? Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not; neither do they reap; nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them Are ye not much better than they? — Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God。 And the peace of God; which passeth all understanding; shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus。 I COR。 7:32。 I Pet。 5:7 …II Chr。 16:9。 Psa。 34:8;10。 …Matt。 6:25;26。 …Phi。 4:6;7。

We look for the Saviour。 The grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to men; teaching us that; denying ungodliness and worldly lusts; should live soberly; righteously; and godly; in this present world; looking for that blessed hope; and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ; who gave himself us; that he might redeem us from all iniquity; and purify unto himself a peculiar people; zealous of good works。 — We; according to his promise; look for new heavens and a new earth; wherein dwelleth righteousness。 Wherefore; beloved; seeing that ye look for such things; be diligent that ye may be found of him in peace; without spot; and blameless。
Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation。 — And it shall be said in that day; Lo; this is our God; we have waited for him; and he will save us: this is the LORD; we have waited for him; we will be glad and rejoice in his salvation。 PHI。 3:20。 Tit。 2:11…14。 …II Pet。 3:13;14。 Heb 9:28。 …Isa。 25:9。

So run; that ye may obtain。 The slothful man saith; There is a lion without。 — Let us lay aside every weight; and the sin which doth so easily beset us; and let us run with patience the race that is set before us; looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith。 Let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit; perfecting holiness in the fear of God。 I press toward the mark。 — I 。。。 so run; not as uncertainly; I keep under my body; and bring it into subjection: lest that by any means; 。。。 I myself should be a castaway。 The fashion of this world passeth away。 Nevertheless we; according to his promise; look for new heavens and a new earth; wherein dwelleth righteousness。 Wherefore; beloved; seeing that ye look for such things; be diligent。 — Gird up the loins of your mind; be sober; and hope to the end for the grace that is to be brought unto you at the revelation of Jesus Christ。 I COR。 9:24。 Prov。 22:13。 …Heb。 12:1;2。 II Cor。 7:1。 Phi。 3:14。 …I Cor。 9:26;27。 I Cor。 7:31。 II Pet。 3:13;14。 …I Pet。 1:13。

The life of the flesh is in the blood: and I have given it to you upon the altar to make an atonement for your souls: for it is the blood that maketh an atonement for the soul。 Behold the Lamb of God; which taketh away the sin of the world。 — The blood of the Lamb。 — The precious blood of Christ; as of a lamb without blemish and without spot。 — Without shedding of blood is no remission。 — The blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin。 By his own blood he entered in once into the holy place; having obtained eternal rede
